OCD is cured 100%

Information about me..
I am Charan, 35 years old.  I had got OCD when I was 18.  I am an IT professional and soft skills/PMP/Technical trainer.


Background information about how I got OCD...
I was born in middle class family.  My father was irresponsible person.  My mother died when I was 18.  Had suffered a lot in life.  Have gone through lot of problems.  Some relatives used to come to my house just to show that they are rich.  I never felt that I was loved as a child.  I was always looking for love and affection from human beings in the society.  I received love only from my mother but I lost her.  Somehow I felt that OCD was there in my father's brain and I received it from him.  Apart from this, I have lived very bad life style (Which I will talk later) which resulted in OCD (Obsessive compulsion disoder).


How was my OCD?
If I get stuck with a thought, that's all.  There is huge amount of palpitations and I used to feel so bad.  I could not do my work.  I used to suffer like anything. I suffered with OCD for 16years. I know what is OCD pain.  I thought operation is only the way I can come out of OCD but gods grace, I am able to come out of OCD 100% without any surgery.


How long I have suffered? What medications I took? Whom I visited? How long I had visited?
I went to a psychiatrist when I was 18.  I was told that I have OCD.  I did not have money to pay the doctor.  Doctor suggested some other hospital where the doctors fees is less.  I changed my doctor.  My doctor told me that there is less serotonin in the brain, hence your thoughts are bombarding.  The doctor had prescribed Fludawn medicine.  I was taking this medicine for 6 years.  But no improvement.  Then I visited clinical psychologist.  She used to put me to deep sleep through hypnosis and reduce the stress in me.  This went on for 1 year.  Nothing happened.  I visited 1 naturopathy doctor.  He asked me to put sandle powder in the water, soak it for 30min and then dip the feet in this water for 1 hr.  I used to do this regularly, I slightly felt some difference. After some time, I stopped this as I was lazy do it :(  Still I used to suffer with OCD.  I got married.  My wife also did not support me much after knowing that I have OCD.  One thing I have learned is, family and friends of OCD patients should give unconditional love and affection.  This gives lots of help to OCD patients.  Later on I visited one hypnotist.  He gave me some affirmations to read daily.  I visited him for 6 months, nothing happened.  I finally gave up that OCD cant be cured.  Then I met one guruji who helped me to come out of OCD.

What I did to cure OCD
I. Food
    a. I have become completely vegetarian from non-veg person.
    b. Reduce the oily food in the morning as it gives drag on the body.
    c. Eat more of vegetables and fruits.
    d. I was not taking heavy meals in the night.

II.  Physical exercise.
    a.  I used to do lots of exercises in the morning and tried to keep the body fit.

III.  Real cure for OCD.
    a.  I used to jog or run for 30min and used to observe my breath.  Along with observing my breath, I used to observe all the senses.  i.e., I used to hear the sounds, observe the touch, observe the smell, observe the breath... I did like this for 1 year.
 
    b.  Very important method I used here is "NON CO-OPERATION MOVEMENT".  i.e., When I was stuck in thoughts and thoughts are bombarding then I stopped attending to the thought.  For example, if the thought is to wash the hands, then no matter what I stopped to attend that thought.  When you dont attend the compulsive thought, after some time, the compulsion reduces and it will b normal.
 
    c. When there is compulsive thought, I used to drift my thoughts by jogging or skipping or running on thread mill.  I used to do this for 20 to 30min, after that I sit for observing the breath.

    d. I followed healthy life style.  That is sleeping early and waking up early.

    e. HAPPINESS IS VERY IMPORTANT.  AS MUCH AS POSSILBE, OCD PERSON SHOULD TRY TO KEEP HIMSELF OR HERSELF VERY HAPPY.  I involved myself in lots of hobbies apart from my work.  I liked photography, trekking, singing, dancing, poetry and many other stuff.  I love them.  I started to focus on these things also.

   f. Before sleeping, I used to listen to soothing music for 20 to 30min and then used to sleep.  I really used to enjoy this.

  g.  I stopped listening to sad songs.  I stopped all the negative words from my vocabulary.  I tried to do something positive.

  h. I used to help others.

  I.  Sometimes, I used to take couple of sheets of paper and used to write my thoughts for 30 to 45min and then after that I used to observe my breath for 20 to 30min.

 After doing like this for 1year, OCD Is completely cured for me.  I could not belive it.  What I understood is, OCD was there in me due to bad life style / the life style I have lived.
